Tip Number 1
Set Up A Myspace Account & Imeem
As a music producer or artist myspace is one of the most essential social networking tools that is avaliable for free and if your music is great you would have the whole world coming to your page each day. Building an internet fanbase is important in the music business currently because of the net downloading of mp3’s.
More people have a tendency to buy mp3’s over CD’s so your digital fanbase is as important as your physical.
Imeem is also pretty important as it will enhance your songs on the head of google, so if a fan types in your name you are pretty much sure to have all your songs avaliable for listening.
Tip Number 2
Get Some photographs Taken
They don’t have to be perfect, but folks do like to see what the artist / producer looks like. Don’t hind behind a logo and if your not prepared to yet, simply make sure you do when you are! ESSENTIAL!!
Tip Number 3
Be Different
at the moment, I am sure since you have started producing music.. A few of your buddies have or vice versa. Be different from them, learn how to create your own style by doing different things. Try to not just copy what your mates are doing as it sounds great, set the trend. If you can run with the trend and shine from it, why not.. But still be different.
