Grout Cleaning Over Coffee
A few weeks ago, I had professional grout cleaners come over to, well, clean the grout in my bathroom. You see, no matter how I tried to stop it, Rover, my dog, was always fond of that place. Unfortunately, my cleaning methods turned out to be sub-par, and Rover, in turn, got sick with having black mold in his system.
When Rover got sick, I decided it was high time to get some professional help in cleaning my grout. So I contacted them and we scheduled a date for their visit. They arrived a day or two after and immediately got on the job.
One of the things that impressed me at first were the machines that they had with them. Always a fan of equipment, I looked on from the safe distance at how they set it up, plugged it in, and how it filled the house with the mechanical hum that would lift the spirits of any man. It took my mind off Rover for a while, for he was still sick in the veterinary.
The cleaning crew decided to go for a break, and I thought I’d make them a batch of coffee. So I brewed up some freshly ground beans and served them each a cup. And I do make a really good cup of coffee, if I may toot my own horn. I sat some distance away to watch them work and sipped at my coffee and read the daily paper to keep my mind off Rover.
I was halfway through my second cup of coffee when the grout cleaners announced they had finished the job. Boy, was I surprised. I was either drinking too slow, or reading too much, because when I checked my watch, they’d only been working for about an hour. How very efficient, I must say. They were thorough in their cleaning and the floor was white again! When Rover gets his operation done, he’ll be safe from mold in the bathroom.
